Abs Lust Embarrassment tells the story of nineteen-year-old college guy Ty. Ty is gay but is not out yet except for a very small circle of guys he dated including his best friend Gio. This circle will have a new addition, Garrett. After a basketball game, the entire team gets in the shower room. There some homophobe guys start harassing Garrett after they notice he is aroused! Ty intervenes and puts a stop to that harassment by fighting Strock, the guy who started the whole thing. The coach suspends them both for a week. Ty decides to go with Garrett to his house to console him as he is in a horrible state. There the two guys get to spend some time together and Ty helps Garrett in understanding his sexuality by putting things into practice.

The story is narrated from Ty’s point of view. What I want to say first about the book that it is neatly structured. There are a total of five chapters and at the beginning of each chapter, there is a delicious picture of a guy or group of guys who are presented erotically. These hot pictures are relevant to the subject of the chapters. Another thing I appreciate in the book is the author providing text formatting implications. Not many authors give you such details in ebooks. I feel the inclusion of different fonts made an easier understanding of the story and the main character’s thoughts.

Abs Lust Embarrassment is about coming out and self-discovery. It touches the subject of homophobia that many young guys face in high school and college and the implication of that. Luckily for a character like Garrett, there was Ty available there to defend him. Ty is such a good young man in so many ways. He is the boyfriend material with lots of goodness from inside. And when I say that it is not just because he stood up and helped a stranger but many other things as well like asking the coach for the same kind of punishment as Strock’s and also taking care of Garrett and not using him during his vulnerable time. 

“Garrett, it doesn’t matter if you are gay or not. Everything will work out ok. Whichever life is to be yours is not beyond your ability to manage effectively. As long as you don’t give up, we can figure out a way for you to succeed and have a happy life. Whatever you decide, I will be here as your friend to support you.”

The sex scenes are beautiful, delicate, and tender. I guess they reflect the beauty of the main character and how adorable he is. There is a lot of teasing especially in the second half of the book when Ty and Garrett are alone. Although the sex is not fully hardcore, the intimacy present is a big deal. It flares your lust and plays with the chords inside your heart at the same time. Ty Debauchee has a great start with the first story in the series. The series is already complete. I have no idea where will the second book take us. I just hope the main character will be there too and the same amount of warmth and intimacy will be present.
