This is the first book in Paul Richards Adventure series. Paul is sexually confused and lacks the experience. This is the story about him discovering his sexuality through an adventure that is the least can be called promiscuous. The events take place during the 1960s and 1970s. The book starts with 26 years old Paul meeting his friend Doug. After leaving his job with the police, Paul started his own agency but he has not been getting any lucrative contracts so Doug offers him an opportunity that makes him work together and get some good money. The job will last a whole weekend and it is to protect and offer the needed security for a secret gay men society who meet once a month to have some fun and good times.

This story was written with so much heat and lust! It will guarantee arousal which is the main point of reading erotica. There is lots of kissing, touching, groping, and fondling from start to end. The relationship between Paul and Doug is very sexy. Their love and lust for each other are very much felt. There is intense chemistry between these two young men. The author did a great job of building the sexual attraction and relationship between them before expanding it to the main event. This will give the readers an idea of how close they were before.

When the event starts we get to know why the book is titled the Battle of the Bulges. All the members of this gay society during the event need to wear very tight breeches that enhance the bulge. During the event, Paul will meet many interesting characters who have crucial parts in the story like Sir Edmond, Mike, and others. This erotica’s main theme is a mystery. Paul is asked to investigate the disappearance of some of the members’ money and find the culprit. There is something though I have to criticize here is the use of condoms. If this was in our current time I would understand but condoms between gay men in the 60s and 70s were not the thing then. Not sure why the author has opted for it.

I enjoyed reading this book a lot. Already finished the second book as well and will be reviewing it soon. The author has created what can simply be called “homosexual heaven”. Any gay man would love to be a part of that hot weekend playing with all these men in that society. The relationship between the main characters was amazing already and it gets better when Doug wants Paul to have all the fun he can get and when Mark becomes part of it too. The event itself is full of sexual games between the men. The games were very interesting and arousing! I truly loved this installment. It was a fun tantalizing read.

Obviously what made me pick up the book was the sexy big bulge on its cover. Turns out it is the author’s bulge! It fits the story and I am glad I picked this book. The author also mentions that parts of this story are true events which makes it even more interesting. If you love men engaging in full debauchery actions then this is the book for you.
