Paul Richard’s adventures continue in this second installment. Keep in mind this series must be read in chronological order. As each book is a continuation of the story. In book one, the main character accepts himself as a homosexual man. Saying accept is an understatement because he is definitely enjoying his new discovery and the awesome times he gets to spend with other men.

In this book many characters from the first book reappear and some new interesting characters that add more heat to the story. Duncan Thorpe, a member of the parliament is introduced to Paul by Sir Edmond. Duncan is being blackmailed with a compromising photograph of his own. Paul is given the mission to find out who is behind the blackmail. Paul works closely with Duncan to find his blackmailer and at the same time, the two men have a sexual relationship that gets very intimate and makes Paul question his relationship with his lover Doug.

Like the first book, this one is also a mix of mystery-solving and gay men having some fun in their secret monthly meeting. Those weekends where all the men are playing with multiple partners. Keep in mind that this series is more focused on gay sex scenes and intimacy between men than the mystery aspect. Though the mystery aspect of it is by no means secondary to the story. You can say the steamy scenes taking priority. And they are well written and do their purpose.

Again in this installment, you will get all the sexual competitions like in the first book, but they are not the same and the event is in a different setting. This was another fun read that I thoroughly enjoyed. If you loved the first book you should continue reading the remaining books like I am doing!
